MyCityZen Has Closed
The Valencia expat AI assistant is no longer active. The knowledge behind it lives on as open-source infrastructure.
What Was MyCityZen?
MyCityZen was an experiment in using AI to help expats navigate life in Valencia. We built 29 specialized agents covering everything from NIE applications to school selection to setting up as autónomo. It placed 2nd at the Hack the Future hackathon in 2025.
The technology worked, but the timing wasn't right to maintain it as a standalone product. Rather than let the knowledge disappear, we've taken a different path.
The Knowledge Lives On
Everything we built — the legal research, government data connections, bureaucracy navigation — has been released as Spain AI Kit, an open-source toolkit that any developer can plug into their AI applications. The knowledge doesn't disappear; it becomes infrastructure anyone can build on.
Spain AI Kit includes MCP servers for INE (National Statistics Institute), BOE (Official Gazette), and Spanish government data sources. If you're building tools for people navigating Spain, this is for you.
