Building AI Knowledge Systems for Expats and the Organizations That Serve Them
Based in Valencia, Spain—where we learned firsthand how complex bureaucracy and local knowledge create barriers for remote workers and families.
From Personal Pain to Scalable Solution
We moved to Valencia and immediately hit the wall that every expat hits: bureaucracy that assumes you speak fluent Spanish, have Spanish credit history, and understand systems that locals learn from birth.
NIE appointments booked months out. Banking requirements that varied by branch. Housing applications rejected for lack of Spanish payslips. Healthcare registration that required documents we didn't know existed.
We spent hundreds of hours figuring it out. Talked to other expats. Built checklists. Made mistakes. Eventually, we had knowledge that could save others the same pain.
That's when we built MyCityZen—29 AI agents encoding everything we learned. Not generic internet knowledge, but specific, validated guidance for Valencia: which NIE office is fastest, which banks actually work with foreigners, which neighborhoods have English-speaking pediatricians.
MyCityZen proved the concept. Now we build the same kind of specialized, ethical AI knowledge systems for organizations: international schools helping relocating families, property agencies guiding foreign buyers, accelerators onboarding international founders.
Our team at the Hack the Future hackathon in Tallinn, where MyCityZen won 2nd place and €15,000 to develop our offering and present at VDS 2025.
What Makes Us Different
Not another chatbot company. A team that understands both the technology and the problem.
Local Expertise
We live in Valencia. We've navigated the NIE process, opened Spanish bank accounts, found schools for kids. This isn't theoretical—it's lived experience.
Ethical Framework
Our agents know their limits. They explain processes without practicing law. They refer to professionals when needed. Built for regulated domains from day one.
Multi-Agent Architecture
Not one confused chatbot—specialized agents coordinated by a Hub Concierge. Complex questions get routed to the right expert automatically.
A Collaborative Approach
Together, we combine local experience with global perspective — and a shared belief that smart tech should serve real human needs.
